The short version
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It does not have accounts or logins. Nothing you type into a form on this site is sent to our servers: our forms prepare a WhatsApp message or an email on your own device, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp or your email app.

What we collect
When you send us a project brief, an RSVP or a reprint request
The Start a project form, the BizPlej RSVP and the client desk build a message containing what you entered: your name, company, phone number, the services you are interested in, your timeline and budget range, and any details you add. The site opens WhatsApp or your email app with that message ready. If you send it, we receive it in our WhatsApp account or our email inbox and use it only to reply to you, prepare a quote, manage your RSVP or fulfil your order.
When you contact us directly
If you call, message or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your number, email address and message.
When you simply visit
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
What is stored on your device
We store two small notes in your browser. Neither is a cookie, neither contains personal information, and neither is ever sent to us.
- be-loaded (session storage) remembers that the opening animation has played, so it does not replay on every page. It is erased when you close the tab.
- be-tour-seen (local storage) remembers that the site tour has been shown, so it does not open again. You can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your information. Some features rely on other companies, which process data under their own privacy policies:
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. or Render Services, Inc., which keep the request logs described above.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). Used when you choose to send a brief, RSVP or reprint request by WhatsApp, or tap a WhatsApp link.
- Your email provider and ours. Used when you choose to send something by email.
- YouTube (Google). Some case studies include videos. When you open one of those case studies, preview images load from YouTube's servers. The video itself only loads if you tap play, and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
- Our previous website. If an image fails to load from this site, your browser may fetch the original from blueemberja.com instead.
- Links you click. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google Maps only receive information if you follow a link to them.
Where AI is used
- This website was designed and built with the help of AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic.
- Some decorative illustrations on the site were created with AI image tools.
- No AI system runs on this site for visitors. There is no chatbot, and nothing you type is sent to an AI service, read by one, or used to train one.
Uploads and file storage
This website does not currently accept file uploads.
If we add uploads in future, for example artwork for the client desk, files will be kept in a storage bucket that is publicly accessible. That means anyone who has the link to a file can open it. Please do not upload confidential documents or personal identification. You can ask us to delete any file you have uploaded by emailing info@blueemberja.com, and we will delete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
How long we keep things
Briefs, RSVPs and messages stay in our WhatsApp and email accounts for as long as we need them to work with you, and are deleted on request. Hosting logs are kept for the short period set by our hosting provider. The two browser notes stay on your device until you clear them or, for be-loaded, close the tab.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. It sets strict browser security rules that block scripts from other sources, it checks and cleans everything typed into its forms, and it has no database or login that could be broken into. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please share only what we need to help you.
Your rights
Under Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop using it, and ask us to delete it. Email info@blueemberja.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information Commissioner of Jamaica.
